Dear readers of Faccia da Reporter, I wish you all my warmest wishes for a peaceful Christmas. There are so many of you reading us, listening to us, looking at our photographs. What a gift! My gift to you is a thank you, immense.
There is a war in the Gaza Strip, which more than many other wars is a war against civilians. And there is a war in Ukraine. How many are there that nobody talks about, nobody writes about? Neither do I.
We all have a life to look after. Life, by definition, is never easy, although it is a beautiful experience.
Just being in the world should be enough to justify the distraction with which we think about others. It is already a job in itself to think about ourselves.
Yet, think, even for a moment, that war is a hoax. An evil sleight of hand. It is a trap, war.
Here's my Christmas wish: that you refuse to fall into it. Even if only in thought, perhaps believing that war is the right thing to do. The only right thing left to do.
It never is.
Resist!
