In an article on Sunday 21 January by Beatrice Achterberg, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung records and criticises the superficial haughtiness with which the German media report the farmers' protest triggered by the subsidy cuts.

Good journalism.

Too bad it only serves the purpose of fishing of German AfD's (extreme right) readers promoted by the NZZ, with the fishermen on the editorial staff led by editor Eric Gujer.

On Ukraine and the Middle East, in fact, the Zurich paper is as superb and superficial as the German ones are with the peasants. What it writes is pure gold, what others think is manure.
